Overview
The small Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan in the Himalayas is a fascinating travel destination with a lot of potential. If you go about it the right way, you can have a unique trip in Bhutan that is completely customized to your individual desires.
Who has not wanted to visit the country with the happiest people?
Bhutan offers incredibly intense insight into Buddhism, Buddhist culture and features an impressive untouched Himalayan landscape.
But a trip to Bhutan is not cheap. Daily tourists pay a $200 fee to travel through the Mountain State. Costs for accommodation, the mandatory guide and vehicle, as well as meals and entrance fees are additional.
It is therefore all the more important that the Bhutan trip corresponds exactly to the wishes of the travelers. We want to help with this and are happy to assist in the development of the travel program.
Because the good news: Whether you travel in a group with a fixed program, or completely individually and privately, makes little difference in price.
Always with you on the trip is a local guide who knows the area and a driver with vehicle.
There are many possibilities of a Bhutan trip:
- as a short round trip with the highlights of Bhutan and possible combination with an India (trekking trip)
- as a longer cultural tour across Bhutan
- with entry or exit by air or land from and to India
- as a bike or motorcycle trip
- in combination with a trekking trip
Our recommendation: Combine the Bhutan trip with a stay in India. Because the only flight option is really only via India or Nepal anyway, or you travel across the land border with India.
It is especially recommended to combine the Bhutan trip with a Himalayan trekking tour in India, or with an active cultural tour through Assam in the North Eastern States. But also all other destinations of Nepal and India can be combined with Bhutan.
