Overview
A wonderful tour through the north of India by private car with driver and Tour Guide. You will get to know some very beautiful cultural and religious places and at the same time experience the mountain world in the form of a trek.
We begin the journey in Delhi with a visit to the Muslim-influenced Old Delhi and the more modern New Delhi. Next, we will marvel at the Golden Temple of the Sikhs in Amritsar and explore the Buddhist-influenced village of McLeod Ganj (Dharamshala). Here the Dalai Lama has his government in exile. We continue to the Kullu Valley: the Valley of the 100 Gods. Here we enjoy the mountains during our trek to the holy Brighu Lake. Next, we travel to the former summer residence of the British: Shimla. Due to the colonial period, Shimla has many Christian churches and a Tudor and New Gothic architectural style. The ride by Toy Train down to the flats through hundreds of tunnels and above countless bridges is another fun highlight! The ending point of our trip is our visit to Rishikesh and Haridwar. At these sacred pilgrimage sites, the Ganges leaves the high Himalayas. There are countless temples and ashrams and if you like, you can take a dip in the Ganges yourself.
