Corona Update: International Tourism for India opens from 15th November 2021

Finally the time has come! After a nearly two-year India entry ban for international tourists, India opens its borders again. From October 15, 2021, travel to India will be open for package tour groups and from November 15, 2021, finally for individual travelers.

The first 500000 electronic visas (e-visas) will be issued free of charge. They have a one-month validity and you can enter the country with them only once.

All long-term tourist visas issued before October 15 will remain invalid.

The visas can be applied for through the India Visa Online website. All further information on how to apply for the visa can be found here.

When entering India, it is important to note that an RTPCR must be made within 72 hours before the flight. In addition, the Air Suvidha Declaration Form must be filled out. Please also upload the negative RTPCR test here.

After arrival in India another RPTCR test is due directly at the airport. However, you are allowed to start your journey directly and the test result will be announced by cell phone. If the result is positive, a fourteen day quarantine is due.
