14 Feb at Taj Mahal, Himalayan Trekking, Mcleodganj, Dalai Lama Temple , Iyengar Yoga
A 12 day program that gives participants an insight into the richness of Indian culture, nature, food and architecture. We start the tour by exploring the 500 year old history of the Old city of Delhi and then visiting the only Monument of Love in the world and one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal on 14 Feb, St. Valentine’s day. We folow that with a 4-day trek in the Himalayas exploring mountain villages and pristine nature with morning and evening yoga in nature. The last 4 days are dedicated to a Yoga Asana Intensive in a beautiful Shala and exploring Buddhism and Tibetan culture in Mceodganj, the seat of the Dalai Lama.
The pristine, calm surroundings of McLeodganj accompanied by the peaceful, beautiful Yoga shala, the serene and relaxing accomodation at the Retreat House, and nutritious, healthy diet are meant to provide the perfect atmosphere for yoga practitioners from across the world to share ideas with each other and to learn and grow together.
The Yoga Asana intensive with 8 Classes and 4 workshops aimed towards a deeper study of individual practice. The classes will be led by Noor Maini and Nayoung Lim and will be based on Iyengar Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga traditions. The small size of the group is intended for focus on individual needs, detailed observation and to ensure concrete takeaways and understanding for all participants. The intensive is suitable for practitioners of all age groups, beginners or advanced.
The core philosophy that the intensive is designed around is that Asana practice is about working with intention, intelligence and awareness. Strength or flexibility is only one of the many results of this practice.

About McLeodganj
- One of the major Yoga hubs in India
- Beautiful nature and hikes
- The capital of Buddhism in India
McleodGanj, the little Lhasa, is the center of the Buddhist tradition in India. It is the residing place of the Dalai Lama, the head of the Buddhist religion. It thus offers a great mix of the Tibetan culture brought along by the refugees after their exile from Tibet, and the local ethnic Himalayan culture. The two cultures co-exist beautifully, offering their particularities for all visitors to experience. Apart from the immense cultural and religious beauty of the place, its location in the Himalayas, the breathtaking landscapes and nearby hikes make it a must visit for any traveller. It is also a popular destination for many yoga practitioners and teachers, and has a vibrant yoga culture with many renowned yoga schools and teachers. One frequently runs into fellow yoga practitioners and teachers on the streets and in the beautiful cafes and restaurants. The vibrant culture brings along amazing food from all parts of the world, not least the offerings from the Tibetan and local cuisine. One can walk through colourful markets, suddenly finding green peaceful trails, in quaint villages, along the river and high up into the hills. Surrounded by Buddhist culture, experiencing the life of the ever so beautiful and friendly locals, makes Mcleodganj a must visit for all interested. The world renowned Tushita Meditation Center is a must see in addition to the Dalai Temple.
