Overview
Rajasthan, also known as the Land of Kings, is the largest state in India in terms of area. It is located in the west of the country and most of it consists of the great Thar Desert.
On this varied bike tour, we get to know all aspects of Rajasthan (from the Thar desert, to India’s most beautiful cities, to India’s oldest mountain range, the Aravalli range). We get a genuine insight into the traditions and lifestyles of the locals while traveling by bike! For the most part, we cycle on quiet roads through the partly hilly desert landscape. Furthermore, we have the pleasure to take a sightseeing bike tour in Jaipur.
A very special highlight will be the jeep safari through the rocky area at the Jawai Dam – the perfect landscape for wild leopards!
Also the visit of old castles, magnificent temples and colorful markets may not be missing, of course. We also take part in an entertaining cooking class.
During the first few days, participants travel in comfort by cab from Delhi via Agra to Jaipur. There will be sightseeing bike tours in Delhi and Jaipur and we will visit the Taj Mahal.

Further Further information
This trip starts in Delhi and ends in Udaipur. We would be happy to book you a cheap domestic flight to Mumbai or Delhi so that you can start your journey home from there (on the night of 7 to 8 January or on 8 January), or organize your trip to Goa or Kerala.
In Rajasthan, the desert state, it is hot and dry almost all year round. Only the winter months from November to February are a little more pleasant. In any case, take a headgear with you to protect yourself from the strong sunlight.
Rajasthan attracts the most tourists, so tourism is the livelihood of many locals. Sometimes this can get uncomfortable. Especially in the big cities and tourist strongholds, people are under a lot of pressure to buy something. Often beggars or children come to ask for money, sweets or pens. Here, it should be well thought out who to give something to.
Our accommodation is simple and clean hotels and homestays. We spend one night each under the stars and in the ashram.
Bicycles with suspension and in suitable sizes are available for hire.
