Overview
In India you can also do great diving and also at the highest level and under the supervision of excellent diving instructors do training to become a certified Padi Open Water Diver on the Andaman Islands.
Chalo Reisen works with Dive India , one of the best diving schools in India.
In 3 to 4 days you will be trained to become a diver on Havelock Island.
You complete the theory for the course online in advance.
During the practical part, your diving instructor will also go into the theory again and again and repeat it with you.
There will be a total of 6 dives.
For the last two, you take the boat out and dive up to 18 meters deep. The coral reefs offer you a wonderful insight into the underwater world.

Program
Day 1 Arrive in Port Blair and ferry to Havelock Island
You fly to Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman Islands. We can book the flight for you.
A taxi takes you directly to the ferry, which takes you to Havelock Island in just under 2 hours. A short transfer and you are in your Placid Garden accommodation.
In the afternoon you visit the diving school, which can be reached in just 5 minutes on foot. Today you will be given your diving equipment and given instructions on how to use it.
Day 2 – 4 diving course
After breakfast your day starts early at 7 am at the diving school. After a short theory unit, you practice everything in practice in two dives each in the morning. The first two days are spent at Nemo Reef on the shore near the port.
On the third day we go out by boat for two dives.
The afternoon is at your leisure. you can rent a moped or bicycle and enjoy the wonderful sandy beaches.
There may also be additional theory units in the late afternoon.
Day 5 Departure
Congratulations! You are a certified Padi diver!
After breakfast, take the ferry back to Port Blair and then fly back to mainland India.
An optional extension for further training, diving or excursions to the neighboring island of Neil or to the North Andaman Islands is possible.

Accommodation
Placid Garden is a simple, clean place to stay with air-conditioned rooms, a good restaurant and friendly staff. It is located just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and very close to the diving school.

Havelock Island
The island is about 2 hours by ferry from Port Blair. It is very well developed for tourism with many restaurants and accommodation options. The island is very small and easily accessible by bike, moped or rickshaw to the beautiful Kalapathar (sunrise) and Radha Nagar (sunset) beaches. Elephant Beach can be reached via a 2-3 km long path or by boat (30 minutes).
